20 Micron Filter, Pleated

What is the 20 Micron Filter, Pleated

This 20 Micron Filter, Pleated (Part No. 14600) is a critical wear part in the ink circuit of Domino A Series CIJ printers. It traps ink debris, pigment agglomerates and solid particles before they reach the printhead, keeping the nozzle and charge electrode clean.

Key Functions

• Removes solid contaminants from circulating ink and solvent
• Protects the nozzle, gutter and charge electrode from clogging
• Stabilizes ink viscosity and print quality over long runs
• Extends the service interval of the whole ink system

Common Failure Symptoms

• Unexpected 'Viscosity' / 'Ink Viscosity' or print-quality alarms
• Faint, broken or drifting printed characters
• Recurring nozzle or charge-electrode blockages
• Higher solvent or ink consumption than normal
• Sudden print stop caused by system errors

Replacement & Installation Steps

1. Power down the printer and disconnect it from mains
2. Relieve pressure and drain the related ink line
3. Remove the worn part and inspect for debris or damage
4. Install the new part with correct orientation and torque
5. Reconnect, prime / bleed the circuit and run a test print

Troubleshooting Guide

1. Check ink and solvent reservoirs are filled to range
2. Inspect for leaks along ink and solvent paths
3. Clean the part with the recommended solvent if accessible
4. Confirm electrical connectors and tubing are seated
5. Replace the part if the error persists after calibration

Benefits of Original-Spec Parts

• Stable print quality under all operating conditions
• Lower ink and solvent waste through correct specification
• Longer printhead life by avoiding contamination
• Fewer unplanned production-line stoppages
• Full compatibility with the original machine standard
